A FACTORY bus carrying 44 male foreign workers overturned early this morning in a road accident at Jalan P/6, Section 13, Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, leaving 33 people injured.

According to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department’s Operations Centre, an emergency call was received at 6.59am. The Bangi Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Bangi) was immediately dispatched to the scene, arriving by 7.05am.

“The accident involved a factory bus believed to have lost control before veering off the road and overturning,” said Operations Commander, PBK II Rahamat Sabarudin.

Of the 44 passengers, 33 sustained minor injuries. Eight were transported to Kajang Hospital and Serdang Hospital via ambulances from the Ministry of Health (KKM), BBP Bangi’s Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS), and BBP Kajang’s EMRS.

The remaining 11 individuals were confirmed to be unharmed.

The rescue operation involved 13 personnel from BBP Bangi and BBP Kajang, supported by three vehicles including a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and two EMRS units. - June 5, 2025
