SEREMBAN – Former Kota assemblyman Datuk Dahalan Aman died today at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital here after suffering a brain haemorrhage and stroke. He was 91.
His death was confirmed by Negri Sembilan Umno liaison committee member Datuk Seri Awaludin Said, who is the current Kota assemblyman.
“Allahyarham suffered bleeding in the brain and a stroke after falling down at home on Friday, before he was admitted to the hospital.
“Funeral prayers will be held at his home in Kg Bongek, Rembau, and the burial will be held at the Kg Bongek Muslim cemetery after midday prayers,” Awaludin said when contacted.
Dahalan, who joined Umno in the 50s, was assemblyman for the state seat for three terms from 1969 to 1982, apart from holding the post of Negri Sembilan Selatan Umno deputy chief in the 1970s.
He leaves behind seven children aged between 53 and 62 years old. – Bernama, December 23, 2020
