AN independent preacher was arrested by the police on suspicion of distributing several sex videos and photos of his wife and other women recently.

Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the arrest was made following a report made by the suspect's second wife on June 16.

"According to the report, the woman claimed that the sex videos of her and her lover and several other women were distributed by her own husband.

"Following this investigation, the police made an arrest and seized two mobile phones and a laptop belonging to the suspect.

"A search of the suspect's mobile phone found several sex videos of the suspect with his wives, as well as photos of him humiliating several other women," he said in a statement today.

Mohd Iqbal said the suspect was remanded for four days until today and was granted police bail while the police completed their investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code, Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955. – July 5, 2025
