A FAMILY of six who were reported missing since Saturday were found in a Proton Iswara car that sank in Sungai Korok, Jitra today.

The operation to retrieve the bodies of the six family members is being carried out by members of the Jitra Fire and Rescue Station (BBP).

The six victims involved are a married couple and their four children aged six months to 9 years.

Family members at the location were seen crying as the bodies of the victims were retrieved one by one.

It was earlier reported that a woman had filed a police report after her brother, sister-in-law and four children had been missing since last Saturday after returning home to spend the night at her house in Taman Aman, near here.

Nur Adliah Shuhada Ishak, in her 20s, said that her brother, Mohd Azim Ezzat Ishak, 32, who lives in Jerlun, came to spend the night at her house last Friday with his wife and four children.

She said that they always come to spend the night at her house and usually returned early in the morning before her brother, who works as a security guard, goes to work. - July 7, 2025
