PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has began his speech in Parliament, unveiling the 13th Malaysian Plan (RMK13), which will outline Malaysia’s five-year plan from 2026 to 2030.
He said the RMK13 will bring the best results to the people and lay a solid foundation for Malaysia to move into the future.
Anwar said that RMK13 was structured as a comprehensive development plan with a focus on uplifting the dignity of the people in a fair and equitable manner without marginalising any group.
"Its preparation involved extensive engagement sessions with various stakeholders across sectors, backgrounds and regions.
"This includes state governments, to ensure that the people's voices are truly heard in planning the country's future," he said.
He also announced that in his conversation with United States president, Donald Trump, he had agreed to announce Malaysia’s tariff rates on Friday (Aug 1).
“Trump had also confirmed that he will attend the 47th Asean Summit in October,” added Anwar. - July 31, 2025
