SELANGOR police are still awaiting the results of a chemical analysis on seized items linked to allegations of indecent conduct during the eHATI marital motivation programme — including a chocolate drink labelled “Piya”, which is suspected to contain intoxicating substances.

"The seized items have been sent to the Department of Chemistry, and we are still awaiting their report. We cannot rush the process, as it depends on the complexity of the case,"said Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Shazeli Kahar.

He added that 95 individuals have been interviewed to date, with further actions underway while authorities wait for expert findings from relevant agencies.

“A referral has also been made to the State Prosecutor's Office, and several directives have been issued to the police for the investigation to proceed," he said.

The case also involves allegations of un-Islamic rituals, with six individuals — including the programme's founding couple — aged between 26 and 57, having been remanded for three days earlier in the investigation.

Police previously revealed that nude activities had occurred during private sessions of the programme. - August 11, 2025
