MORE than 53,900 full-time e-hailing drivers will receive an increase in the Budi Madani RON95 (BUDI95) eligibility ceiling of up to 600 litres per month.

The Ministry of Finance in a statement today said that the move to increase the ceiling was made after the ministry conducted a data cross-check with the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD).

“For full-time e-hailing drivers, MOF has cross-checked the data with APAD involving more than 53,900 individuals who will receive an increase in the eligibility ceiling to 600 litres per month,” it said.

MOF also said that BUDI95 is also now being extended to registered boat users in Sarawak, after activating the eligibility for boat users in Sabah and those registered under the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM) last week.

“Based on data obtained from the Sarawak Rivers Authority and relevant State Government agencies, MOF has activated the BUDI95 eligibility for over 1,400 registered private boat users in the state,” the statement said.

According to the statement, over 11,400 more driving licence holders are now eligible to receive the BUDI95.

“They consist of drivers who have just obtained their licenses (11,200) and drivers who have renewed their licenses (260), making more than 16 million Malaysians receiving the benefits of BUDI95,” it explained.

MOF said gradual improvements were carried out by the Madani Government, to ensure that the Budi Madani RON95 (BUDI95) targeted subsidy system continues to provide comprehensive benefits.

It said the Madani Government remains committed to ensuring that this targeted subsidy program runs smoothly, is transparent and provides direct benefits to the people.

MOF together with relevant agencies will continue to monitor the implementation of BUDI95 and implement improvements from time to time.

“The public can refer to frequently asked questions (FAQ) via the official Budi Madani portal or contact the helpline at 1-300-88-9595 or via WhatsApp at +603-2631 4595 for more information.

This portal is also equipped with a transaction history check feature that can be accessed via MyDigital ID to ensure the security of users' personal data,” he said. - October 13, 2025
