Maimunah ends her service as Mayor of Kuala Lumpur today and begins her duties as Petronas Property Advisor this Monday. - November 14, 2025

DATUK Fadlun Mak Ujud has been appointed as the new Mayor of Kuala Lumpur effective tomorrow, replacing Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif whose service was cut short a year earlier.

The appointment of Fadlun, 58, has received the approval of His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim in accordance with Subsection 4 (2), Federal Capital Act 1960.

Maimunah ends her service as Mayor of Kuala Lumpur today and begins her duties as Petronas Property Advisor this Monday.

Fadlun holds a Bachelor's Degree in Town and Country Planning from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and has over 28 years of experience in the fields of town planning, regional development and city management. - November 14, 2025
