King calls for people-centred development in KL
The King granted an audience to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Hannah Yeoh, at Istana Negara today. - June 4, 2026

HIS Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has expressed constructive views and advice on the direction of Kuala Lumpur’s development, emphasising the importance of effective governance, efficient service delivery and continuous efforts to improve the quality of life of city residents.

According to a Facebook post by Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, His Majesty consistently places great importance on the welfare of the people and balanced development to ensure that every policy plan and implementation benefits society as a whole.

The matter was conveyed when the King granted an audience to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Hannah Yeoh, at Istana Negara today.

“His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim also received a briefing on the Kuala Lumpur Reform initiative by YB (Yang Berhormat) Hannah Yeoh, covering various aspects including security and urban planning,” the post said.

Also present were Federal Territories Department director-general Datuk Muhammad Azmi Mohd Zain and Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Fadlun Mak Ujud. – June 4, 2026
