Apart from several candidates from major political parties, the Tulid DUN seat saw the presence of six independent candidates.

THE Tulid state constituency in the Pensiangan parliament is expected to see the highest number of candidates in the Sabah General Election with 14.

Apart from several candidates from major political parties, the Tulid DUN seat saw the presence of six independent candidates.

PKR Wanita Vice-Chief, Datin Rufinah Pengeran who represents Pakatan Harapan (PH) is among those contesting the seat.

UPKO, which previously announced its withdrawal from PH, is also fielding Mohd Khairil Abdullah.

Warisan; Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM); Parti Impian Sabah (PIS); Parti Kebangsaan Sabah (PKS); Parti Rumpun Sabah (Rumpun) and Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) have also fielded their candidates.

In the 16th Sabah PRN, the Tulid state seat, which was contested for the first time, was won by STAR candidate representing Perikatan Nasional (PN), Flovia Ng with a majority of 544 votes.

Flovia defeated six other candidates including her closest challenger, Matusin Bowie representing Barisan Nasional (BN).

There are about 8,910 registered in the state constituency. - November 15, 2025
