Putrajaya seeks quick clarification from Terengganu over trespass notices issued to 10 FGV estates
Zahid stresses the interests of Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) settlers and the people of Terengganu must remain paramount - December 3, 2025

THE Federal Government will seek an immediate explanation from the Terengganu State Government following its decision to issue trespass-prohibition notices affecting 10 FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV) plantations, which came into effect last Sunday.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also Minister of Rural and Regional Development, said he would be contacting Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar without delay to clarify the state’s position.

Expressing confidence in a constructive resolution, he stressed that the interests of Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) settlers and the people of Terengganu must remain paramount.

“FELDA is placed under the Prime Minister’s Department, and I have been entrusted with the responsibility to address and manage the challenges it faces,” he said. “I will hold discussions with the Menteri Besar of Terengganu on this matter. There is nothing that cannot be resolved.”

He made the remarks after officiating the Cyberjaya 2025 Discussion Summit.

In a joint statement yesterday, FELDA and FGV said they are undertaking a comprehensive review of all relevant documents as they seek to address the warning notices issued by the Terengganu Government on estate lots belonging to the agency and its subsidiary. - December 3, 2025
