IN a shocking, tragic incident, a blind mother crawled on all fours for two days through a jungle to get help after her daughter died at their isolated home in Kampung Tambey, Samarahan in Sarawak.

Sin Chew Daily reported that the woman's daughter in her thirties had died suddenly at their home, and the mother had stayed with her decomposing body for six days.

The blind woman then crawled through the jungle before she finally reached a road about 6am today where she managed to get help.

The woman lived with her daughter in a hut located deep in the jungle with limited access and relied on government aid for their daily needs.

Police and members of the Civil Defence Force were notified and located the hut where they found the decomposed body.

The body was sent to the hospital mortuary while the blind woman was rushed for treatment. - December 5, 2025
