DATUK Seri Anwar Ibrahim has prayed for the recovery of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who is currently receiving treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN).

In a post on the X platform on Tuesday, the Prime Minister, who is currently in Turkiye, shared the following tweet regarding Dr Mahathir's health situation.

"I and Azizah (Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail) pray for Tun's health and speedy recovery, God willing," he said.

Dr Mahathir, 100, was admitted to the IJN after reportedly falling at his home at 9.30am for general monitoring.

The matter was confirmed by the former Prime Minister's Press Secretary, Sufi Yusoff.

It is understood that a press statement will be issued by Dr Mahathir's office soon. – January 6, 2025
