A RECYCLING factory on Jalan Emas 1, Jalan Chan Sow Lin in Kuala Lumpur, sustained approximately 40 per cent damage following a fire that broke out late yesterday evening.

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre confirmed that emergency calls were received at 8.05pm, prompting the deployment of 33 personnel and nine fire engines from the Bandar Tun Razak, Pudu, and Hang Tuah fire stations.

The blaze, which engulfed the 50 by 70-foot facility, was brought under control by 9.24pm, with firefighting operations concluding fully at 12.08am.

According to the department, there were no injuries or casualties reported in connection with the incident. - February 1, 2026
