DATUK Mas Ermieyati Samsudin announced her resignation as the Bersatu Masjid Tanah Division, today.
The resignation of the Member of Parliament for Masjid Tanah and Head of Bersatu Srikandi was made with 39 other members of the division involved.
The matter was announced by Shahrul Azhar Amir, who also resigned as the Secretary of the Bersatu Masjid Tanah Division after reaching a consensus in a meeting today.
"Today, the Bersatu Masjid Tanah Division held a special meeting, which was attended by the division committee, wing leaders and branch leaders.
"The two-hour meeting went well, and the division chiefs explained the latest developments in the Bersat political conflict.
"This special meeting also unanimously recorded the stance of Bersatu Masjid Tanah that this action was taken since we have lost trust in Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as president.
"With our resignation, it is hereby announced that the Bersatu Masjid Tanah Division Committee is officially dissolved," he said in a statement on his social media today.
Mas Ermieyati also confirmed her resignation, including that of other division leaders.
Other Bersatu leaders also announced their resignations following the dismissal of Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin as the party's Deputy President.
They are Tanjung Malim Bersatu Division Deputy Chief, Mohd Amran Ibrahim; Bukit Gantang Bersatu Division Chief, Ahmad Man and Bagan Serai Bersatu Division Chief, Ismail Ali.
They claimed that their resignation also involved all the members of the divisional committee.
A Bersatu division in Sarawak, Bintulu, also followed suit, becoming the first division in the state to leave the party.
Duke Janteng, who announced his resignation as the Bintulu Bersatu Division Chief, said that a total of 110 members, including the divisional leadership, branch heads, women's and youth wings, had chosen to resign and cut ties with the party.
"We no longer have confidence in the Bersatu leadership chaired by Muhyiddin.
"This party has deviated far from its original struggle, especially in defending the rights and interests of the indigenous people of Sarawak," he said. – February 19, 2026
