THREE of Tun Daim Zainudin's four children, who are being traced by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to assist in the investigation of a case, are abroad.

Immigration Director-General Datuk Zakaria Shaaban, who confirmed the matter, said that based on records from the Immigration Department (JIM), they were traced to be out of Malaysia at the end of January and early this month.

"We found that they have already left Malaysia except for one child who currently has no record of movement out of Malaysia," he said when contacted by Buletin TV3.

According to him, as of today, the three individuals involved have still not returned to the country.

However, he refused to reveal further details regarding the matter.

Zakaria stressed that JIM is working closely and will provide the information required by the MACC based on the department's records.

Yesterday, the MACC announced that it was tracing the former Finance Minister's four children.

They are Asnida Abdul Daim, Md Wira Dani Abdul Daim, Muhammed Amir Zainuddin Daim and Muhammed Amin Zainuddin Daim.
