FORMER Yayasan Peneraju (YP) chief executive officer Ibrahim Sani has surfaced on the campaign trail for Parti Bersama Malaysia ahead of the Johor state election, days after leaving the government-linked agency.

Ibrahim, who officially stepped down from the Economy Ministry agency on July 1, appeared to confirm his involvement in Bersama’s campaign through a post on X, where he shared a photograph of himself dressed in the party’s signature yellow attire.

His appearance was further highlighted by Farhan Iqbal, an aide to Bersama co-president Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, who posted a photograph of Ibrahim addressing supporters from the campaign stage.

The backdrop featured portraits of Rafizi, fellow co-president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, as well as the party’s candidates contesting the Johor polls.

“Yellow looks good on you,” Farhan wrote in the accompanying caption.

The development marks Ibrahim’s first visible political appearance since ending his tenure at Yayasan Peneraju, where he had served as chief executive since his appointment in November 2023.

Parti Bersama Malaysia, which came under the leadership of Rafizi and Nik Nazmi following a party takeover in May, is fielding candidates in 15 constituencies in the Johor state election scheduled for July 11. - July 5, 2026
