PRN Johor: (Unofficial) Maszlee leads in Puteri Wangsa

Unofficial results show that the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate is leading with 942 votes, surpassing the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate, Teow Chia Ling, who obtained 661 votes.

The Puteri Wangsa state assembly seat is among the focus of the 16th Johor State Election - July 11, 2026

FORMER Education Minister, Dr Maszlee Malik, is ahead in the Puteri Wangsa State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seat race based on unofficial results obtained so far.

Unofficial results show that the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate is leading with 942 votes, surpassing the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate, Teow Chia Ling, who obtained 661 votes.

Muda candidate, Rashifah Al Junied, meanwhile, obtained 75 votes.

Based on the current results, Dr Maszlee is leading with a majority of 281 votes, but the results are not official as the vote counting process is still underway.

The Puteri Wangsa state assembly seat is among the focus of the 16th Johor State Election (PRN) following a four-cornered competition that has been described as fierce since nomination day. – July 11, 2026
