KOTA BARU – Kelantan folk have been urged to include masks as part of their “daily wear”, as well as use hand sanitiser, to stem the rise in Covid-19 cases in the state.
State Local Government, Housing and Health Committee chairman Dr Izani Husin said the state Health Department has done its best to control the spread of the disease, and that it is the public’s responsibility to be vigilant and heed the standard operating procedures, including practising physical distancing.
“My advice is to follow the SOPs, and impose tight SOPs on ourselves. The most important thing is to go out only when necessary… in other words, the enemy is outside… when Covid-19 is already in the community, the only thing we can improve are the SOPs, apart from our body immunity,” he told reporters here today.
He said cases in the state will decline within a month if there is widespread compliance with health and safety rules.
