DATIN Seri Rosmah Mansor says she has no knowledge of the payment status of the RM50 million fine imposed on her husband, former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, in connection with his house arrest arrangement.

"I do not know, the family does not know and I have not been informed about it," she told reporters briefly after a case management proceeding involving her at the court complex Kuala Lumpur today.

Asked separately about the collection of the fine, Rosmah reiterated that she was unaware of the matter and said inquiries should be directed to the relevant parties.

"I do not know because I am not involved in the matter. You should ask Asyraf (Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki)," she said.

Meanwhile, police have stepped up security outside former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's residence in Jalan Langgak Duta here amid reports that he could return home to begin serving the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest.

Najib, 73, is believed to be preparing to return to his residence after reportedly settling the stipulated payment, although authorities have yet to confirm the arrangement.

A team of officers and personnel from the Sentul District Police Headquarters began arriving at the residence at about 10.30am today.

Sentul police chief ACP Anuar Bakri Abdul Salam and his deputy were also seen arriving at the location at about 10.45am.

Several police vehicles and about 30 officers and personnel were stationed around the property to oversee security.

Police personnel at the scene also instructed members of the media not to approach the former Umno leader's residence, allowing coverage only from the junction leading to the property.

However, Anuar Bakri said police had not received any information confirming that Najib would begin serving his house arrest order today.

"No information, but we (the police) are making preparations," he said when contacted.

Najib is understood to be expected to return to his residence after Friday prayers this afternoon, based on information received. - November 6, 2026
