Sarawak flood evacuees climb to 133

KUCHING – The number of flood evacuees in Sarawak rose this morning to 133 from 26 last night.

The state Disaster Management Committee, in a statement, said three relief centres are operating in two districts.

It said 106 evacuees are housed at two centres in Serian, and 27 at one in Samarahan.

The relief centres were opened yesterday, following heavy rains, 10 days after the flood situation in the state had eased. – Bernama, January 31, 2021
