SINGAPORE – Three Malaysian men are among 17 new imported Covid-19 cases in Singapore yesterday, said the republic’s Health Ministry.
The ministry, in its report last night, said the three are work permit holders who arrived from Malaysia, adding that they are all asymptomatic.
The other imported cases came from Bangladesh, India and Indonesia.
They are among the 18 fresh coronavirus infections, including one community case, recorded yesterday, taking the country’s total to 59,602.
The ministry has classified 2,779 cases as imported, community (2,315) and foreign workers living in dormitories (54,508).
A cluster linked to the NewOcean 6 bunker tanker has been declared contained, leaving only three clusters left in Singapore.
The republic has seen a total of 59,320 recoveries, and 29 lives lost due to Covid-19. – Bernama, February 4, 2021
