KUALA LUMPUR – A 67-year-old property developer has been remanded by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for suspected bribery to secure a RM110 million project from a ministry in 2012.
MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya confirmed the chairman’s arrest with Free Malaysia Today.
“The case will be investigated under Section 16 of the MACC Act 2009,” he was quoted as saying.
He also did not rule out the possibility that more individuals will be arrested in relation to the case. – The Vibes, February 18, 2021
