KUALA LUMPUR – Petrol prices will increase while the price of diesel remains unchanged from February 20 to 26, said the Finance Ministry today.
The retail price for RON97 will increase by four sen from RM2.26 to RM2.30 per litre while RON95 petrol will also go up by four sen, from RM1.96 to RM2 per litre.
The price of diesel remains unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on January 5, 2019, under the automatic pricing mechanism (APM).
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz had earlier announced that the price of RON95 and diesel would be capped at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre, respectively. – The Vibes, February 19, 2021
