KUALA LUMPUR – The Home Ministry today said an invitation to journalists to attend a party celebrating Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin’s birthday is fake.

The invitation to the event, purportedly to take place here tonight, had gone viral on WhatsApp.

“The ministry urges all parties who received the fake invitation to disregard it and inform other members of the media,” said the minister’s press secretary, Zulkifli Bujang, in a statement.

Besides pressmen, the fake message also extended an invitation to ministers, deputy ministers and MPs. – Bernama, March 16, 2021
