KUALA LUMPUR – Two company directors and a civil servant have been remanded in relation to a graft case involving a mask production project worth RM9 million.

The seven-day remand order until March 29 was issued by assistant court registrar Wan Azianti Abd Salleh following an application by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission MACC).

The company directors, aged 49 and 51, were arrested at their Selangor office while the civil servant, 59, was picked up from an office in Kuala Terengganu.

The arrests were made between 2pm and 4pm yesterday.

Bernama reported that the two company directors allegedly bribed the civil servant in return for a suggested investment with their company for the production of masks. – The Vibes, March 23, 2021
