KUALA PILAH – Deputy Works Minister Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith today vowed to defend the Kuala Pilah parliamentary seat in the 15th general election.

The Negri Sembilan Perikatan Nasional chairman said he is ready for a three-cornered fight.

“I will defend the Kuala Pilah seat. Yes, today, there was a discussion between Bersatu and PAS on the distribution of seats for GE15.

“The recommendations have been given for Negri Sembilan. We will concur with what’s decided later, so long as both parties don’t argue,” he told reporters here.

Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has expressed confidence in his party wresting the seat, which it lost by just 200 votes in the last elections.

In GE14, Eddin Syazlee, representing Bersatu, secured 18,045 votes to beat Datuk Seri Hasan Malek of the Barisan Nasional lynchpin, who received 17,845 votes. – Bernama, April 9, 2021
