MELAKA – The state government here has given the green light for Ramadan bazaars to operate until 2am.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali urged operators, traders and visitors to strictly heed the standard operating procedures to prevent Covid-19 infection.
He said the state’s decision to allow bazaars to open till 2am follows one by the National Security Council (NSC).
“The ruling depends on the decision to be made by NSC from time to time, based on the number of new Covid-19 cases,” he told reporters after opening the 2021 Ramadan Mega Bazaar at Tapak Dataran MITC here last night.
“The permission can be revoked at any time if there are SOP violations or an increase in infections.” – Bernama, April 25, 2021
