KUALA LUMPUR – Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah has tested positive for Covid-19 after a screening last night.
According to a ministry statement today, Saifuddin will undergo a quarantine period and close monitoring according to recommendations of the Health Ministry.
“Currently, he is undergoing quarantine at home while waiting to be admitted to a ward at hospital.
“Throughout the treatment and quarantine period, Saifuddin will continue to monitor and ensure that all ministry affairs run smoothly,” the statement read.
According to the statement, Saifuddin thanked all parties praying for his recovery and also apologised for the inconvenience caused by the situation. – Bernama, April 29, 2021
