KOTA KINABALU – Starting tomorrow, the Sabah government is temporarily banning the entrance of individuals from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka following the spread of Covid-19 variants of concern in these countries.
Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor made the announcement today.
He said an exception to enter Sabah is only given to Sabahans, their spouses and children, under condition that they undergo a 14-day quarantine at designated stations.
“Following this, ship crews that have travel history from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka within the past 14 days are not allowed to perform ‘sign-off’ procedures in Sabah, except for Malaysian crewmembers, who must undergo 14 days of quarantine at designated stations,” he said. – The Vibes, May 2, 2021
