KUALA LUMPUR – The government will next week disclose details of the second round of the AstraZeneca opt-in programme.

Coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin tweeted that the programme will be open to those outside Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

The details will be released by the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV).

“While much attention has been given to the opt-in AZ track under PICK, phase two is well underway with more seniors receiving their appointments.

“@JKJAVMY will by announcing details for another AZ opt-in window and new PPVAZ locations outside of Klang Valley next week,” he tweeted.

The first opt-in programme was opened for booking last Sunday. Some 268,000 people here and in Selangor were able to book their appointments for the first dose on the JKJAV website.
