KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia recorded the highest number of fatalities to Covid-19 today with 61 deaths.

Infections also remained above the 6,000-mark, with 6,509 cases logged.

The new cases take the nation’s cumulative tally to 518,600, while the fatalities take the death toll to 2,309.

There were also 3,452 logged, while 711 are in intensive care and 369 require breathing assistance.

Meanwhile, Selangor remains the state with the highest number of cases at 2,049, followed by Sarawak (530), Kuala Lumpur (468), Johor (468), Kelantan (451), Penang (384), Kedah (348) and Negri Sembilan (329). 

Melaka saw 329 new cases, followed by Terengganu (263), Pahang (257), Perak (231), Sabah (184), Labuan (171) and Putrajaya (40) and Perlis (7). – The Vibes, May 24, 2021
