KOTA BARU – Kelantan will receive 40,000 doses of the Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine on Thursday, said state Health Department director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin.
He said the supply is in addition to that already allocated to the state under the second phase of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, and in preparation for the third.
“This supply is to be given to 20,000 recipients,” he told Bernama today.
Asked about the delivery of the Sinovac vaccine next month, Dr Zaini said state authorities have yet to receive information on the quantity.
Yesterday, state health exco Dr Izani Husin said Kelantan will get a large amount of the Sinovac jab, and expressed hope that residents will seize the opportunity by signing up for vaccination. – Bernama, May 25, 2021
