KUALA LUMPUR – Minister Khairy Jamaluddin must reveal the company that developed the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV) website after technical glitches hampered today’s AstraZeneca vaccine bookings.
Youth-led Muda said in a statement that the website has once again failed to meet standards, failing to allow Malaysians to register for the Covid-19 vaccine.
“The rakyat has started to question the many (technical) problems the website has, including the use of the free Cloudflare service.
“This raises many questions as RM70 million has been spent on developing the JKJAV system and website. The people have the right to know.”
Muda also called on Khairy to reveal the contract recipient.

Scores of Malaysians took to social media to air their frustration over the AstraZeneca vaccine booking delay, with many slamming the government for not being able to get it right the third time around.
The booking window should have been opened at 12pm, as announced by the Health Ministry and Khairy, but was only available after 12.15pm.
There were complaints of people being unable to choose states: Johor, Penang, Sarawak, Selangor, and Kuala Lumpur.
Several netizens shared screenshots showing that their access to the site had been blocked.
Some people reported that they were unable to select dates, as the portal showed slots have all been taken up.
The majority of social media users pointed out glitches on the registration form preventing them from clicking on states to choose their vaccination centres – an issue that occurred when registration opened exclusively for those above 60 years old on Sunday. – The Vibes, May 26, 2021
