PUTRAJAYA – Hearing dates for civil cases at the Federal Court and Court of Appeal that have been fixed will be made known via SMS starting tomorrow.
The Federal Court chief registrar’s office, in a statement today, said the adoption of technology allows for more efficient handling of the judiciary’s administration.
The one filing a document needs to update their profile in the e-filing system by entering their mobile phone number, it said.
“An SMS notification will be sent to the number as soon as the hearing dates are fixed, whether for (appeal or motion) proceedings or an interlocutory application.
“However, the notification is only for hearing dates, and does not include case management.
“The SMS alert system will also be extended to the lower courts.” – Bernama, May 31, 2021
