KUALA LUMPUR – PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan has confirmed that party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has received an invitation for an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong this week.

“The letter was sent to Hadi’s PAS office in Terengganu on June 4. I am not at liberty to say when the audience will take place,” Takiyuddin told The Star today.

“I also do not know what will be discussed during the meeting.”

Abdul Malik Ab Razak, who is Hadi’s press secretary, was reported as saying that the PAS president is in stable condition after being admitted to the National Heart Institute a few days ago.

Earlier, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was also reported to have received an invitation for an audience with the king on Thursday.

Pejuang information chief Ulya Aqamah Husamudin told Bernama that, while the time has yet to be set, the Pejuang founder will have an audience with the king on Thursday.

“The invite from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong was received last week,” said Ulya Aqamah. – The Vibes, June 8, 2021
