TELUK INTAN – The owner of a padi processing factory in Langkap here has been issued a RM10,000 compound for operating with more than 60% workforce during the movement control order (MCO).
Hilir Perak police chief Ahmad Adnan Basri said a garment factory worker has also been issued a RM1,500 fine for failing to scan the MySejahtera app in the four-hour compliance operation at factories that started at 11am today.
“The Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP) Compliance Op was carried out on the manufacturing sector to ensure SOP compliance… during the MCO.
“We also advised and gave suggestions to the sector to improve the management of Covid-19 infection prevention among employees.”
Adnan said no company or factory was found operating without permission or ordered to close during the operation. – Bernama, June 9, 2021
