NOORYANA Najwa Najib has expressed her disappointment following a statement from the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) deferring the implementation of house arrest for her father, Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

According to her, after the RM50 million fine was paid at noon yesterday and the court order was submitted to the Kajang Prison authorities, the family was informed that Najib would return home to Langgak Duta, Kuala Lumpur, around 5 pm.

However, she stated that the implementation was pushed back to 8:30 pm, before they received information around 2 pm that the Ministry of Home Affairs was attempting to delay the execution of the house arrest order for her father.

“Nevertheless, we remained confident, as it was understood that the court-issued order should have been sufficient; yet, in the end, the AGC issued a statement to defer the process.

“As a daughter, I am deeply disappointed because we have complied with all the stipulated conditions and followed the required procedures.

“If there were other conditions, why were they not communicated from the start? Or, if there were obstacles, why was the RM50 million payment accepted in the first place?” she said.

Nooryana, who also serves as the Information Chief for Puteri UMNO, remarked that this latest development brings to mind the issues surrounding the addendum decree previously issued by the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

She explained that there were so many obstacles, delays, and uncertainties regarding that addendum decree, to the extent that Najib remains incarcerated at Kajang Prison to this day.

“Every time we feel that father is getting closer to returning home, a new obstacle arises. How long will this go on?

“We only want justice and transparency,” she added.

Meanwhile, Nooryana also thanked everyone who contributed to the Najib Razak Solidarity Fund, an initiative organised by UMNO.

She stated that no matter how small the contribution, it is deeply meaningful to his family.

This is because such solidarity shows the depth of affection and the strength of public support for the former Prime Minister. – November 7, 2026
