KEPALA BATAS – The Seberang Prai Utara traffic police office was damaged in an early morning fire here today.

The blaze damaged 60% of the policemen’s waiting room and a store room in the same single-storey building along Jalan Kedah here also incurred some damage in 4.30am incident.

Fire and Rescue Department teams from here assisted fighters from the Bertam and Kuala Muda fire stations as they put out the fire in about 30 minutes.

The Kepala Batas fire station’s senior operations officer, Mohd Fauzi Suid, said no injuries were reported in the incident and the forensic unit is  investigating the cause and estimated losses of the fire. – The Vibes, June 10, 2021
