PUTRAJAYA – Some local universities’ move to impose charges for parcels delivered to campus is a burden on students, said Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.
The deputy entrepreneur development and cooperatives minister, in a statement today, said it could also impact the income of online-based entrepreneurs.
“The charges burden students, who have to pay more to get their parcels.
“They already have to spend money on transportation to the administrative building. Now, they have to pay additional charges.”
She was responding to complaints posted by students on social media.
“I hope the universities involved will review the matter and assist the government in improving the ecosystem for entrepreneurs, thus helping them survive amid the Covid-19 pandemic.” – Bernama, June 17, 2021
