PETALING JAYA – Right after water supply for some areas in the Klang Valley returned to normal yesterday, consumers may be facing another round of disruption.
Lembaga Urus Air Selangor (Luas) posted on its Facebook page early this morning that it has detected solvent pollution in Sg Selangor.
“Rantau Panjang, SSP1, SSP2, and SSP3 have been shut down from 12.30am to 2am today.
“Luas and the agencies involved are investigating and taking mitigating steps right now,”
Meanwhile, in a statement today, Air Selangor said as of 6.30am, the pollution level is at 1 TON (threshold odour number).
The latest water supply disruption will affect nearly 1.2 million accounts in 1,292 areas, including Kuala Lumpur, Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Kuala Langat.
Consumers can check the affected areas at the Air Selangor website.
