GEORGE TOWN – Nini Siron feels vindicated after her video of Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammed Sanusi Md Nor test driving a truck during the movement control order at Auto City Juru was verified by the police to be genuine.

Sanusi is expected to be compounded by the police for the alleged offence next week at the Magistrate Court in Bukit Mertajam.

Taking to Facebook to air her thoughts, the housewife lamented how she was harassed on social media for supposedly spreading false accounts of the incident.

“I now feel thankful, and there is hope for a normal person like me to reprimand politicians if they are deemed to have been wrong,” she said.

She was also accused of being a (political) blogger for the Opposition when she uploaded the video and a brief caption about 40 days ago.

Nini was called up thrice by the police during the course of the investigation.

She revealed that she was labelled with all kinds of crude remarks, ranging from being called a lapdog for some political parties to much worse.

The trolls did not spare her their vulgar words, and also attacked her husband and younger sister on social media.

“For those who pass such remarks, will they be responsible and apologise to me?

“Surely you know who you are.”

Sanusi admitted to his offence and stated that he will pay up the fine issued.

The Menteri Besar’s political secretary, Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamuddin, explained in a post after the incident that Sanusi did not intend to go for a test drive but made a stop to get food while travelling to Kuala Lumpur on an urgent matter.
