MIRI – As many as 22 restaurants in Sibu town have been visited by Covid-19 patients over the past two days.
Sibu Municipal Council chairman Clarence Ting said 14 such eateries were identified yesterday and eight the day before, based on data provided by the Health Department.
“These eateries were found to have been patronised by Covid-19 carriers. That is why it is important that dine-ins be avoided as much as possible.
“Taking off masks during dine-ins can quickly result in infections, especially with the high infectivity of the Delta strain.”
