KUALA LUMPUR – The enhanced movement control order (EMCO) will be enforced in two zones in Kedah and one locality in Sabah from September 6 to 19, said the National Security Council.
Its director Datuk Rodzi Md Saad in a statement today said the locality in Sabah is the Police Training Centre in Kota Kinabalu, while the two areas in Kedah are in the Kuala Kedah subdistrict in Kota Setar.
“The standard operating procedures for the EMCO in all these areas are similar to those announced previously.”
The EMCO at Tapah Prison in Perak, which had been slated to end tomorrow, is extended to September 19.
The same order imposed on 24 localities in Sabah, Pahang, Kedah, Perak and Kelantan will end tomorrow.
These areas include Kg Padas, Kg Cenderamata 2, Kg Cempaka, Kg Inanam Laut, Kg Bambangan Inanam, Kg Kelingau, Kg Lapasan and Taman Kuala Menggatal in Kota Kinabalu; and, Taman Semarak Indah, Taman Thien Vun, Taman Victoria, Taman King Fook and Kg Kurnia Batu 4 in Tawau, Sabah.
Also exiting the EMCO are Kg Tg Kapor in Kudat; Kg Sulit Paitan and Kg Matanggal Lama in Beluran; and, the Taman Mesra flats in Sandakan.
Kg Telemin in Lipis and Kg Orang Asli Sg Bot in Karak, Bentong, Pahang; and, the Pokok Sena Prison in Kota Setar, Kedah, will see the restrictions lifted as well.
In Perak, the EMCO will end tomorrow for Pelantar Sg Pinang Kecil in Pulau Pangkor, and the same goes for Kg Telaga Bata, Kg Kajang Sebidang and Kg Bunut Sarang Burung in Tumpat, Kelantan. – Bernama, September 4, 2021
