GEORGE TOWN – Putrajaya should be mindful not to table a national budget aimed at vote-fishing ahead of the Melaka polls next month.

Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin hopes the government will be responsible and practise good governance to table an inclusive budget next Friday to help the people.

“I hope the government will not use the same old Barisan Nasional tactics and all kinds of means to gain votes in the election.

“I hope Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz will be honest and have integrity in helping the poor and underprivileged.”

Sim said this after presenting roses to female frontliners at the Spice Arena vaccination centre in Bayan Baru here today.

He also handed over 1,000 commendation letters to the frontliners and volunteers to vaccination centre manager Dr Norhashimah Ismail.

“It is unfortunate that Melaka dissolved its assembly and had to face an election. I urge Sarawak not to do the same. Put people’s lives first,” he said. – The Vibes, October 22, 2021
