PETALING JAYA – The Kajang district in Selangor today has 98 new Covid-19 cases while Klang has 53, said the Health Ministry.

This brings the state’s total new cases to 225, the second highest in Malaysia after Sabah’s 644.

A new cluster called Usaha which covers Klang and Petaling districts, has brought in 16 new Covid-19 infections.

Another 39 comes from close contacts and other screenings brought another 14 new cases.

This comes as Plaza Hentian Kajang is placed under enhanced movement control order (EMCO), where 98 new cases were recorded in the district due to targeted screening undertaken by the Health Ministry.

The other area under EMCO are the Sg Emas flats in Jalan Emas 31 and 32, Kuala Langat.

The rest of Selangor is under conditional movement control order until November 9. – The Vibes, November 1, 2020
