MELAKA – Barisan Nasional’s chief minister candidate Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali has secured a huge victory in Lendu, winning by a majority of 3,104.

According to unofficial results at BN’s command centre, the incumbent chief minister secured 4,486 votes after all voting channels have been accounted for.

His opponents, Perikatan Nasional’s Abdullah Mahadi and Pakatan Harapan’s Mohamad Asri Ibrahim, only garnered 1,382 and 1,155 votes respectively.

Sulaiman’s victory and BN’s lead puts him in a comfortable position to retake the state administration’s top seat. – November 20, 2021
