KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia’s daily Covid-19 caseload saw a slight dip today with 4,087 cases, bringing the cumulative total to 2,627,903, said Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The new cases recorded today are lower than the 4,239 infections seen yesterday.
In a statement, Dr Noor Hisham said the country also logged 4,984 recoveries today, bringing the total discharged to 2,532,036.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry’s CovidNow website noted 29 deaths today, including six cases that were brought in dead.
Dr Noor Hisham said 507 cases are under intensive care, while 272 cases required breathing assistance.
Out of the 4,087 new cases today, only 72 (1.8%) are in categories 3, 4, and 5. The remaining 4,015 cases (98.2%) are in categories 1 and 2.
Dr Noor Hisham said the country has seen a total of 5,938 clusters, including seven new clusters today.
Clusters that have ended are at 5,711, leaving 227 active, he said. – The Vibes, November 29, 2021
