HULU LANGAT – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today visited flood-affected areas in Hulu Langat.
Upon arrival at 9.50am, he visited several houses to meet the owners, who were busy cleaning their homes that were inundated in the flooding early this week.
The prime minister also met volunteers cleaning the local Surau Al Munir, which is said to be the “saviour” for surrounding residents who had climbed to its roof to wait for help, before going to several other locations where “gotong royong” was being held to clean up the affected areas.
The gotong royong involved local residents, volunteers, non-governmental organisations and members of the security forces.
Ismail Sabri, who also visited Kg Dusun Tua, was accompanied by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani and Defence Forces Chief Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang. – Bernama, December 26, 2021
