KUALA LUMPUR – Senior Minister (Defence) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today announced conditional movement control orders (CMCO) for Kedah, Perak, Melaka, Penang, Johor and Terengganu, from Monday (November 9) to December 6.
This is in addition to the current CMCOs in the Klang Valley and Sabah, which have also been extended to December 6.
The CMCO for the Klang Valley has been in effect since October 14.
The CMCO will be for all states on the peninsula, except for Perlis, Pahang and Kelantan, the senior minister said at a press conference today.
In addition, Perak’s Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan Maahad Al Yahyawiyah will fall under EMCO from November 8 to November 21.
The senior minister also announed that police detained 407 people for breaching RMCO rules yesterday, remanding four of them and issuing compound fines to the rest.
Fifteen illegal immigrants, including one boat skipper and one smuggler were arrested. Five land vehicles were also seized yesterday under 'Op Benteng'. – The Vibes, November 7, 2020
